At the end of their travels, they understand that the blue bird of happiness is above all things a symbol, and authentic happiness is created by people themselves... This was the first jointly-produced Soviet-American film and was made with actors famous all over the world: Elizabeth Taylor, Ava Gardner and Jane Fonda.
