Read by Aleksei Moshkin. Duration: 7 hours, 9 min.Leonid Andreev's novel "Satan's Diary" (1919) could be classified as many genres, including philosophical, spiritual, modernist, mythological and synthetic novels. The diversity of ideas present in the book shows the complexity and originality of the author's final novel, in which all of his previously used themes, motifs, imagery and ideas come together. He marks the agressive misanthropic traits of the ideology of militarism, and invents new, unseen ways of killing people (in "Satan's Diary", Andreev predicts the invention of the atomic bomb). The author warns all mankind of the threats to his existence that are inherent in these deadly dangers.
